Renown for innovation in fashion, Gabrielle Chanel was also an influential interior designer. Informed by her memories of the convent where she was raised, and now a showcase for a global brand, the Villa La Pausa was her most fully realized project. The Musée de la Mode de Paris features the history of Villa La Pausa in an exhibition scheduled for 2020; one of its director, Laurent Cotta, bridges fashion and architecture in a lecture at Alliance Francaise de Chicago.
