Learn / BP Competition

The annual BP Student Ideas Competition for middle and high school students encourages young people to share ideas about how design can play a role in creating shared spaces and improving communities.  The competition invites submissions that explore architecture and the built environment from a wide range of disciplines including design but also the humanities, visual and performing arts, and STEM fields.

Winning entries are honored with cash prizes and displayed as part of the Biennial exhibition. Youth competitions are free to enter and open to 7th-12th grade Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana students. See below for past winners and check back for opportunities in 2020!
