Join artist Emilio Rojas in the gallery for a performance that will activate his work on view in Remember Where You Are. Rojas uses his body as a political tool in performances to address legacies of colonialism and oppression across history and geography. His recent research examines Christopher Columbus as a symbol of European imperialism and white supremacy and the lasting impact of his “discovery” of the Americas. Followed by a panel on public memorials and social justice.
