The temporary event we propose here would take the form of a one-day popup event to mark the future location of a net zero building, establishing a memory about what could happen on that site in the future, and conceptually reclaiming the neighborhood from the carbon economy. A pop-up event would occur on the same day in three to five neighborhood sites. Site selection and community outreach would involve Illinois Green and Elevate Energy among others.
