Community Festival Day

Venue

Learn about architecture and design through hands-on creative activities for children ages 5-12. Participants can learn about Chicago’s heritage as the birthplace of the skyscraper, and design their own tall structures. This include a free make-and-take project.

This FREE afternoon event is hosted at Navy Pier by the Chicago Architecture Biennial and its Signature Education Partner, the Chicago Architecture Center.

The Chicago Architecture Biennial (open now through January 5, 2020) is the largest exhibition of architecture, art, and design in North America. Youth and family programs are held at the Chicago Cultural Center and community offsites every week.

As the signature education partner for the Chicago Architecture Biennial, the Chicago Architecture Center is committed to providing access to the Biennial’s themes and deepening engagement through place-based programs for young people and families across Chicago.
