In Chicago’s disinvested communities, the preservation of historic places and the history of community that surrounds them have not always been equitable. Driven by community members and facilitated by Preservation Chicago, a Neighborhood Outreach Program works collaboratively to identify historic assets and develop strategies to preserve the more vulnerable of those buildings. A panel of participants will discuss the program and its impact on the community.
