Gather. Remember. Act. for The Gun Violence Memorial Project

Venue

Join us for live music performances from Wilco’s John Stirratt with Lea Tshilds, Wyatt Waddell from Rosebud Allday, Haroula Rose, and the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra to raise awareness about our nation's gun violence epidemic.

This event is a public closing reception for The Gun Violence Memorial Project at the Chicago Cultural Center before it travels to the National Building Museum in Washington D.C.

Free and open to all who are able to attend.

Gather. Remember. Act. is presented in partnership with the non-profit architecture and design collective MASS Design Group. Commissioned by the 2019 Chicago Architecture Biennial, The Gun Violence Memorial Project honors the lives and stories of victims of gun violence. Remembrance objects reside in a collection of glass houses, representing the magnitude of gun-related deaths that occur over a single month in the United States.
