In Search of Old Dreams: Stories of Argyle

"In Search of Old Dreams: Stories of Argyle" is a video art street installation of the area’s history as a port of entry for immigrants and refugees in Chicago. “Argyle” takes its name from Chicago’s Southeast Asian neighborhood that emerged in the late 1970s after the Vietnam War. This neighborhood has been shaped by international wars and local transit development. This event explores this history through archival newspapers, stories, and photographs.
