In conjunction with the exhibit "The McCormick House - Past, Present, Future", architectural historian Susan Benjamin utilizes stunning historic images to highlight notable modern houses in and around Chicago and the efforts of their passionate owners to preserve them. Benjamin is head of Benjamin Historic Certifications and co-author of Great Houses of Chicago: 1871-1921 (Acanthus Press, 2008) and Modern in the Middle: Chicago Houses, 1929- 1975 (Monacelli Press, early 2020).
