The MLK District Garden is one of two sites hosting an exposition, planned for July-October 2020, examining the role that collective space can have in the city today. The workshops are to design collective spaces to be built for the exposition. Through scheduled activities on both sites and a series of charrettes, the exposition will engage residents in thoughts about the possibilities for other collective spaces, addressing a range of community needs, on North Lawndale’s 1100 city-owned lots.
