A two-day workshop and presentation with artist Tania Bruguera and members of the Asociación de Arte Útil at the Jane Addams Hull House Museum. 

"Selecting the Arte Útil Open Call Chicago" is an open workshop on Monday 11/18 in which artist Tania Bruguera and members of the Asociación de Arte Útil gather to analyze case study projects from Chicago for entry into the Arte Útil archive. Participants include Stephen Wright (Environmental and Energy Study Institute, Paris) and Alistair Hudson and Leanne Greene (Asociación de Arte Útil and the Whitworth, Manchester, UK). Submit to the Arte Útil Open Call, the deadline has been extended to November 14.

"The Coefficient of Art, Architecture, and Mathematics" is an evening discussion on Tuesday 11/19 with specialists from the fields of art, architecture, and mathematics aspiring to develop new methodologies and terminologies for human creativity, moving beyond categorization and binary systems. Participants include Eugenia Cheng (scientist in residence, School of the Art Institute of Chicago), Stephen Wright (Environmental and Energy Study Institute, Paris), Tania Bruguera (artist, Cuba), Alistair Hudson and Leanne Green (Asociación de Arte Útil and the Whitworth, Manchester, UK), Paulo Tavares (curator, Chicago Architecture Biennial), Paola Cabal (artist lecturer, School of the Art Institute of Chicago), Mika Tosca (climate scientist, School of the Art Institute of Chicago).
